Cliche

If you didn’t already know that I was a college student, it wouldn’t have been hard to figure out today. The tell-tale signs were stowed away in the main compartment of my backpack. Had you stopped me on the Metro ride home from my lunch with Amanda at Five Guys, this is what you would have found:

  • Captain Planet Folder
  • Notebook
  • Pencil Case
  • Books for class (Campaigns on the Cutting Edge and The Party Decides)
  • Jacob’s Run – a fantastic book described concisely on the cover as “A Mystery of 1860 Wilmington)
  • this weeks issue of The Onion
  • this month’s issue of Nylon Magazine
  • a new copy of Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs

Thanks go to Amanda for suggesting the last item on the list. We spent part of last night reading short interludes from it.

I love Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs! I read it last summer at the BVFAC and would randomly laugh out loud while customers/fellow employees would eye me suspiciously.
